The Uncommon Cake

Owner, Jill Shumka has always been drawn to the delicate, precise art of baking. Inspired by Switzerland’s world-famous pastry creations on a trip to Europe in 1998, Jill decided to enroll in the esteemed culinary program at the Dubrulle Culinary Institute in Vancouver the following year.

We wanted to emphasize her strengths as a cake artist, her notable eye for design and her tremendous attention to detail through creative and well thought-out designs.
